Bundanon Cafe

We recently went down to Bundanon for a design camp. Here we were given a brief to design a cafe that would fit into the proposed footprint and would provide food and drink to visitors who were otherwise not offered any. The footprint was the green mound neighbouring the famous Glenn Murcutt building and considerations had to be made including the use of environmentally friendly materials, not blocking the path way or restricting the view of the site or the surrounding buildings. We were supplied with materials such as corrogated cardboard, black cardboard, wooden sticks, brown paper and foamcore. We incorporated these materials to represent the materials that would be used in reality. Our working space was largely spread out and by the end of the day was covered in rubbish! I found this task very interesting although it was stressful and some of the aspects of my design didnt turn out the way they were planned. The Bundanon experience was extremely fun and I hope I get the opportunity to go again...
