Pyjama Shorts!

The third project we embarked on in Design Fundamentals during term 3 was the creation of a pair of boxer shorts/pyjama shorts using yardage that we designed in Adobe Illustrator and got produced through SpoonFlower.com.... At the beginning of the design process we focused on 2D designs that we were interested and began to create our own through illustrations and drawings. Seeing as though I had chosen a beachy theme for my blog banner I wanted to create something completely different and in the end I chose to use dinosaurs for the fabric I was creating. I found designing the fabric on illustrator very enjoyable and I found that I was able to complete it quite easily however the sewing aspect of the project was not part of my expertise! However I did improve in my sewing skills. This project has so far been my favourite and I have found that it is something I am very interested in :)
